Each race brings something new as players try to win with their own tactics. Ignite’s scoring system allows tactics to be used during a race.
Earning points allows you to use nitro in the race and converts it into a time bonus at the end. Thus, using nitro in the short term can help players get out of situations before the others, but using a lot of nitro and thus earning points can cost them the game.
There are different methods of earning points (slipstreaming, collision with objects, drifting), and some cars are better suited to one method than others. Choosing the right car for the preferred method and playing through your strategy will ensure victory for the player.
